FORMAT: British Quad (30 x 40 inches)
STARS: Burt Lancaster, Tony Curtis, Gina Lollobrigida. DIRECTOR: Carol Reed.
NOTES: Rare first release quad for Carol Reed's classic circus story of thrills, jealousy and intrigue. Lancaster, Curtis and Lollobrigida are a trio of trapeze flyers. Young Curtis wants to learn the famous triple somersault from old vet Lancaster, who's crippled from a near fatal fall. In comes Lollobrigida making trouble for the two flyers both on the ground and in the air. One of the great films of the 1950s. The landscape format of the quad is particularly apt as it allows the full panoramic effect of the artwork, with the figures caught in the circus spotlights. A much sought after POSTER.
CONDITION: Grade A-/B+. Pinholes. Archival paper repairs to reverse side. Writing on back bleeds through slightly in first three letters of 'Trapeze'. Some wrinkling to top right corner. All else in very nice, bright, clean condition and would make a super display if linen-backed and framed. Folded, as issued.
